It is our intention to expand the Club’s activities to many areas, although it has been felt that this should take place at a steady pace, bringing on board special deals and discounts for our members as the weeks and months progress. However, we are glad to say we have concluded a very special item in Scotland, taking in a round of golf at the relatively new Dundonald Links course which is situated on the Ayrshire coast just north of the town of Troon, a round on the spectacular Prestwick Links which, as many of you know, was host to the first Open Championship, and a special offer to our members to provide overnight accommodation at the Gailes Hotel. This hotel is situated fairly near Irvine, not only within very easy reach of Dundonald Links but also close to the famous links courses of Glasgow Gailes and Western Gailes. As far as Dundonald Links is concerned, the present green fee is £60 per player but, again, they reserve the right to make alterations to this cost and it would be wise to check with them prior to booking.       For your overnight stay, we have great pleasure indeed in recommending the Gailes Hotel which, as mentioned previously, is very close indeed to Dundonald Links, where the family-owned business has kindly offered our members a 20% discount from the rack rates. These rates will depend upon when our members make their reservations. Again, as previously mentioned, it is essential for you to produce your membership card and number. As these rates will vary, it is impossible for us to give you any concrete figures, but we are delighted to advise you that you will receive a very warm welcome and the best of attention at this resort.
